If You're Happy, I'm Happy...
What would putting God's will first look like?
What would it sound like?
What would it feel like?
When things aren't going your way,
When you want to say something harsh,
Putting God's will first LOOKS like holding your tongue,
And saying "Yes Lord, If You're Happy, I'm Happy".
"not my will but Yours be done."
When you are rushing,
But Holy Spirit is reminding you to "slow down",
Putting God's will first SOUNDS like,
A deep breath in and pausing to say,
"Yes Lord, If You're Happy, I'm Happy".
"not my will but Yours be done."
When you want to get angry cuz humans are messing up your plans,
Putting God's will first FEELS like,
Letting go of the wheel,
Realizing God is in control and saying,
"Lord, If You're Happy, I'm Happy".
"not my will but Yours be done."
Peace comes with obedience to God,
Peace surpasses all understanding,
Peace that comes from God cannot be taken away by man.
That's what putting God's will first FEELS like.

Help me focus on Your will and not mine,
Help me look up at You and not the circumstance,
Help me open up my grip and not hold on.
Only You can turn my eyes towards You and keep it,
Only You can quiet the noise and silence it,
Only You can help me realize I ONLY need You.
Not my will be Yours be done,
In Jesus name, Amen."
