The Cross is Love...

As we complete Holy Week,
A week of REMEMBRANCE,
Of what Jesus did,
How much He loved us,
That He would come down from His Heavenly throne,
And experience the worst of the worst in ALL areas imaginable.

He was cut and stabbed from the inside out,
Spiritually,
Physically.

The greatest pain was not physical,
It was spiritual,
It was betrayals of His children,
That He hand-crafted,
Before our mother's womb,
With TENDERNESS,
With COMPASSION,
With JOY,
With His very BEING,
With LOVE,
Knowing that we will betray Him,
Knowing that our sin will stab Him,
Knowing that our life means His DEATH,
He still CHOSE to create us,
To give us HOPE,
To open up a WAY,
To be our TRUTH,
In hopes that we would choose LIFE.

"I am the WAY and the TRUTH and the LIFE."



What Jesus desires MOST,
Is for us to LOVE.

His heart cries out,
"Abide in my LOVE"
Because "God is LOVE".

"REMEMBER the deeds of the Lord"

On this blessed day of rest,
I want to propose a specific focus that would delight Jesus.

"Love is PATIENT"

In a world where PATIENCE is scoffed at,
Where it's seen as a weekness,
Where entreprenuers shudder at the thought,
Lean into what SCRIPTURE says,
And remember,
"Love is PATIENT".

If we can delight God today,
Wouldn't it be to bear His FRUIT?
Wouldn't it be to deny our flesh,
And choose His FRUIT over our desires?

"Love is PATIENT",
So let's be patient.
Who does God want you to be patient with today?

Who tries your patience the most?
Choose them,
Be patient with them.

"Do this in REMEMBRANCE of Me..."

If we really LOVE our Lord,
Wouldn't we do what makes Him happy?

"If you keep my commands, you will remain in my LOVE, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love."

Jesus gave His life for us out of LOVE,
God's command is LOVE,
His only desire is for us to LOVE,
Can we do this ONE thing for Jesus today,
And show patience to the one person that we can't the most?

Can we sacrifice our comfort,
Our ego,
Our price,
Our selfishness,
Our ambition,
And choose LOVE,
Just for Jesus,
No one else,
Just for Him.

Who do you need to be PATIENT with today?

"Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your Son,
Thank You for Your sacrifice,
Thank You for Your LOVE,
Thank You,
Thank You,
Thank You.

Help me be LOVE,
Help me be PATIENT,
Help me bear Your fruit today,
To the person who tries me the most,
Help me be like You,
So that I can delight You,
On this beautiful Holy day.

In Jesus name, Amen."
