Stewarding Your Sphere...
As we gather our hopes for the new year,
As we brighten our outlook on a fresh start,
Hearts are stirred,
Dreams are renewed,
What can this new year bring?
What does God want?
What are His plans?
How can you grow your business?
How can you multiply your blessings?
What does God want you to focus on this year?
Logically speaking,
If you don't pass level 1,
You don't go to level 2.
If level 1 is stewarding what God has given you,
Are you looking for level 2 before you pass level 1?
I want to go back to the basics of basics,
The thing that we all have that God has given us is,
Our sphere,
Also called our sphere of influence,
Also called our family, friends, co-workers,
Also called the people God put in front of us.
How are you stewarding your sphere?
Are you loving them?
Are you thinking of them?
Are you praying for them?
Are you reaching out to them?
In business we are taught to call our sphere,
But God teaches us to LOVE our sphere.
"love one another earnestly from a pure heart"
The world teaches us to call our sphere in order to generate business,
But God tells us to LOVE our sphere to represent Him.
"everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
Our natural instinct is to call our sphere in order make to money,
But God tells us to LOVE Him,
And He'll work out everything for you.
"seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
So how are you stewarding your sphere?
Is it a task?
Is it a chore?
Or is it a JOY?
Is it a BLESSING?
"Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established."
I used to dread calling my sphere,
I didn't have enough time,
But the truth is,
I didn't have enough LOVE.
The truth is,
I had "better" things to do,
The truth is,
I was more interested in myself than others,
It was a LOVE issue.
"And above all these put on LOVE, which binds everything together in perfect harmony."
But once I found the LOVE of Jesus INSIDE my leadgen,
Once I found the LOVE of Jesus INSIDE prospecting,
Once I found the LOVE of Jesus INSIDE follow-up calls,
It changed everything.
"each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace"
Stewarding your sphere is NOT about you,
It's about Jesus,
"Feed My sheep"
Stewarding your sphere NOT about your business,
It's about Jesus,
"Shepherd My sheep."
Stewarding your sphere NOT about multiplying your income,
It's about Jesus,
"Feed My lambs."
How are you stewarding the sphere He put in front of you?
What will you hear when You get to heaven?
"Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your Master’s happiness!"
OR
"You wicked and slothful servant!"
Are we concerned more about our comfort and goals than God's desires?
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men"
Remember, it's not about getting referrals with your sphere,
It's about pleasing God in stewarding your sphere.
"Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful."
Remember it's not about multiplying your wealth with your sphere,
It's about multiplying your LOVE.
"Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all."
Because when we take care of God's heart,
He is more than able to take care of us.
God does not have a money problem,
He has a heart problem with US.
"Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind."
Let's humble our desires and goals and serve God's first.
Can we steward our sphere in a way that delights Jesus?
"Dear Heavenly Father,
Help me steward my sphere the way You want,
The way You intended,
The way it delights You.
Teach me to love like You LOVE,
Teach me to hear like You HEAR,
Teach me to see like You SEE,
Each and every one of Your children,
That you have entrusted me with.
Help me steward my sphere,
Help me move YOUR kingdom forward,
Not my own.
In Jesus name, Amen."
