Spiritual Taste Buds (Part 1): Sensitivity
Taste buds are delightful.
Each taste bud is shaped like a flower bud,
Having 10 to 50 sensory cells,
To enjoy,
To savor,
To taste the flavors that God put on this earth.
Thanks to taste buds we get to enjoy,
Sweet treats,
Sour lemons,
Spicy jalapenos,
Made possible by the flowers of our tongue.
Similarly, God gave us SPIRITUAL taste buds,
As God gifted us with spiritual flavors,
To enjoy,
To savor,
To taste all the flavors of God's LOVE.
"How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!"
Our spiritual taste buds are even more incredible,
Having thousands to TENS of THOUSANDS of receptors PER cell,
The cells of our brain,
Composed of neurons.
We are designed to taste the flavors of the unseen world,
To connect with God,
To hear Him,
To sense Him,
To have a supernatural experience with Him EVERY single day,
That is the ORIGINAL design.
"So God created man in His own image, in the image of God he created him"
Did you know there's value in SENSITIVITY?
Sensitivity is a sought after, valuable asset.
How valuable is it?
What is the value of...
The SENSITIVITY of a neurosurgeon's hands in the operating room,
The SENSITIVITY of a potter's hands molding clay,
The SENSITIVITY of a painter's brush on a masterpiece,
The SENSITIVITY of a golfer's body position as he swing,
The SENSITIVITY of a musician's fingers playing an instrument,
The SENSITIVITY of a conductor's ears leading an orchestra?
