Say Everything in Love...
Have you ever KNOWN someone that is super smart,
But the WAY they say things is so awful,
It makes you not care at all?
Have YOU ever said something totally brilliant,
But it fell on deaf ears?
"I may speak in the tongues of men, even angels; but if I lack LOVE, I have become merely blaring brass or a cymbal clanging."
On the flip side,
Have you ever said something loving without any motive,
But it seemed to move a person's heart toward you?
Have you ever said something encouraging,
And the person burst into tears?
That's the power of LOVE.
When you speak with LOVE,
You speak with God's Spirit,
Because "God is LOVE".
Imagine that for a moment,
The power of God being in your words,
Moving hearts,
Touching it in ways unseen,
All because of LOVE.
When you speak with LOVE,
You are in TUNE with God's heart,
He can FLOW through you,
To touch those around You.
You are like a fully charged battery,
Full of energy and life,
LOVE is life,
It is the essence of God.
That's why God says,
"Do EVERYTHING in LOVE".
LOVE is the answer,
When in doubt,
Choose LOVE.
If something falls apart,
And you have the choice to be mad,
Or be LOVING,
Choose LOVE.
When someone irritates you for the 1000th time,
And you have the choice to make a snide remark,
Or LOVINGLY hold your tongue,
Choose LOVE.
Because if you say ANYTHING without LOVE,
It will be a sharp blade to the soul,
It will be a seed of death,
It will breed destruction not restoration,
So choose LOVE.
Ask God for help to grow in this area.
LOVE is the only thing He's ever wanted from us,
LOVE is STILL the only thing He's asking for.
LOVE God,
LOVE others,
Share God with LOVE,
And teach others how to do the same.
That is the Great Commission.
"Dear Heavenly Father,
What have I said NOT in LOVE today?
Show me what I need to confess,
Open my spiritual eyes to see and ears to hear,
Lead me to repentance,
Reveal the deceit in my own heart,
Cleanse my heart this day,
Heal me of my ways,
Lead me closer to Your heart,
Transform me into LOVE,
In Jesus name, Amen."
