Let's Reason Together...
Did you know that our brain is a REASON making machine?
We will have imaginations as high as the sky,
It's a powerful force,
Weaving a story out of every situation.
When our car breaks down,
We can say "OMG, why me~~ Not today!!"
Or we can say "Hmm... God, what are You up to today?"
As God is always inviting us saying,
"Come now, and let us REASON together".
What's possible if we choose to REASON with God?
What will change if we choose to REASON with God?
Every REASONING,
Every CHOICE,
Either draws us closer
Or draws us away from God.
When we REASON with God,
We're able to make life-changing decisions for the better,
We're able to make world-changing decisions with the Father,
Just like Abraham.
When Abraham was told by God to sacrifice his only son,
Abraham didn't resist, get angry or resentful,
Instead, he left the very next morning in full obedience because,
"Abraham REASONED that God could even raise the dead".
Because of REASONING with God,
God used Abraham to change the world,
Because of REASONING with God,
God used Abraham to save mankind.
How crazy powerful is REASONING with God?
How would it change our lives if we chose to REASON with God more often?
When we have hard decisions,
When we have tough choices,
When we are in heart-breaking situations,
God is inviting us saying,
"Come now, and let us REASON together".
God wants to show you something new,
God wants to do a new thing in you,
God wants to use you, mold you and shape you,
All the while He's inviting You,
"Come now, and let us REASON together".
The Lord wants to share His REASONING with You,
His ways are higher than our ways,
But He wants to SHARE them with you,
If we'd only listen,
If we'd only say YES to His invitation,
"Come now, and let us REASON together".
3 Steps to Reasoning with God:
Step 1) Pick a situation to ask Him about.
Step 2) Ask "Lord, REASON with me. What do You think? Speak, Your servant is listening..."
Step 3) Close your eyes and LISTEN. Wait in silence until a thought emerges and WRITE it down.
Rinse and repeat for 1 week. Keep exercising this muscle. Ask and listen repeatedly and you will start feeling and sensing God's heart around a situation. It's super cool. Try it on for size. Expect good things. Have fun! ^_^
"Dear Heavenly Father,
Lord, REASON with me this day,
Help me SEE things from Your perspective,
Help me RAISE my thoughts up to Yours,
Help me FOLLOW You each and every day.
Help me REASON with You when I'm sad,
Help me REASON with You when I'm happy,
Help me REASON with You when I'm frustrated,
Hep me REASON with You when I'm excited,
Help me REASON with You when I'm nervous,
Help me REASON with You when I'm peaceful,
Help me REASON with You in the afraid,
Help me REASON with You in the victorious,
Help me hear Your REASONING instead of my own,
Help me seek Your THOUGHTS instead of my own,
So you can give me the DESIRES of Your heart,
And make ALL Your plans succeed.
Lord, REASON with me,
Speak, Your servant is listening...
