Jesus is Calling You...
In a time when life is SOOO busy,
In a time when time is SOOO short,
Once in a while you may have the thought,
"I should pause for a minute",
That's Jesus calling you.
When the schedule is back to back,
When you're feeling stressed,
When you finally have a breath to yourself,
A thought may surface,
"I need to take a breather",
That's Jesus calling you.
"After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper."
God is not a screamer.
God is gentle,
God is kind,
God is humble.
God whispers not yells,
God tickles not pushes,
God invites not manipulates.
In a world full of loud noise,
Satan is drowning out God's voice and his soft invitations.
God won't get louder because the world does.
He won't compete with the noise,
But He will patiently wait for you to return to Him,
Sending invitation after invitation,
Until the day we are ready to respond.
But time is passing by swiftly,
As days turn into months,
As months turn into years,
When will be the day when we finally say,
"Now I have time for God."
Satan won't let that happen.
The habits from each day of NOT being still with God,
Will continue to pave the path of NOT being still until life has passed us by.
A lifetime of programming of "not enough time",
A lifetime of learning to "do more and hustle",
A lifetime of NOT sitting still with God.
It's time to break free,
There isn't a lot of time left,
Before you know it 5, 10, 20 years will pass us by,
Before you know it, we will have missed out on so much relationship time with God,
Before you know if, the people YOU were supposed to lead to Jesus will have suffered.
Holy Spirit is imploring you to pause and take a break for Jesus,
To realize how short our life on this earth is,
To look to heavenly things instead of earthly success,
Jesus is calling you to spend time with Him.
Here is a loving challenge.
Will you pick a time to set an appointment with Jesus?
Treat it like a client appointment,
Treat it like a listing appointment,
Treat it like a recruiting appointment.
Protect the time,
Set alarms for the time,
Turn off your phone for that time,
And have quiet, private time with Jesus,
He is waiting for you...
"Dear Heavenly Father,
Help me hear your calling,
Throughout the day,
Throughout our work,
Throughout our life.
Help me make time,
Help me carve out even 15 minutes to start,
And may it grow into something beautiful with You.
May I hear Your calling stronger each day,
May I keep my eyes on You,
May the things of this world grow strangely dim,
In the light of your glory and grace.
In Jesus name, Amen."
