If There Is To Be One More Resolution...
If there is to be ONE MORE resolution it would be,
Lord, take away anything that separates me from You,
Any idol,
Any addiction,
Any distraction,
Any obsession,
Lord, take it away.
Lord, if food is my idol and it separates me from You,
Take it away,
If Youtube is my addiction and it distracts me from You,
Take it away,
If social media is my obsession and it lures me away from You,
Take it away,
If TV shows are my distraction and it consumes me away from You,
Take it away.
Lord, if success is my idol and it rises above You,
Take it away,
If my ambitions are my addiction and it casts a shadow on You,
Take it away,
If my body image is my distraction I think of it more than You,
Take it away,
If wealth is my obsession I cherish it more than You,
Take it away.
"Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread."
Lord, if my comfort is my idol and it resists You,
Take it away,
If my safety is my addiction and it stops me from serving You,
Take it away,
If convenience is my obsession and I want it more than I want You,
Take it away,
If pleasure is my distraction and I indulge myself more than You,
Take it away.
It there is to be ONE MORE resolution it would be,
Take away anything that creates a distance between me and You,
Anything I value more than You,
Take it away,
Until all I have and all I WANT is You,
