Conviction to Love...
Isn't it great to have guardrails?
Especially when you're driving in mountains by a cliff?
To know that if you veer off the road,
That there is a metal barrier that will push back,
Something to keep you from plummeting to your death,
What a wonderful safeguard.
We have a spiritual safeguard and His name is Holy Spirit.
When we do something wrong,
Holy Spirit won't just stand by and watch,
He will nudge us,
Remind us,
Poke us,
He will always guard us and warn us.
Sometimes Holy Spirit has to turn up the heat,
Giving a deep conviction in our hearts,
Bringing us to our knees,
To repentance,
To turn us away from our sins,
And back to Jesus.
"go, and sin no more."
The process of conviction is GOOD,
It's like spiritual detox,
We get cleansed by it,
We draw CLOSER to God because of it,
But there is a gray area that the enemy tries to take advantage of,
It's the transition from conviction to LOVE.
"your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for."
Just like baking bread,
The bread should be in the oven for an appropriate time,
Then it needs to come out,
If not, it will burn.
Once the bread is out of the oven,
It cools down,
Then gets cut,
And finally enjoyed.
Conviction is the same.
After baking in the oven of conviction for the appropriate time,
We need to come out of that oven,
To cool down,
To be cut to the right shape and size by Holy Spirit,
And then enjoyed with LOVE.
The ultimate result of conviction should be LOVE.
"what matters is trusting faithfulness expressing itself through LOVE."
Overcooked conviction leads to GUILT.
Guilt is from SATAN,
Conviction is from GOD.
There's a key difference between conviction and guilt.
They can both stab at our hearts,
They both have us reflect on our wrongdoings,
But conviction draws us CLOSER to God,
And guilt draws us AWAY from God.
God is always doing EVERYTHING He can to draw you closer to Him.
So if you have a deep sin or regret,
If you have a dark stain in your history,
And it keeps you from drawing CLOSER to God,
Let it go,
Just let it go.
Trust that God has forgiven you,
And He's calling you back.
"Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water."
Yes, we should feel sorrow for our sins,
Yes, we should feel remorse,
Yes, we should desire never to do it again,
But eventually, we MUST move from conviction into LOVE.
"whatever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart and knows all things."

If we never reach LOVE then we never reach Jesus,
For Jesus is LOVE.
Be convicted,
Be transformed,
AND find your way back to LOVE.
That's what Jesus wants.
That's what our loving Heavenly Father wants,
As His heart cries out,
"Come into My LOVE, My children,
Come into to my LOVE."
He will use conviction of Holy Spirit to draw you CLOSER,
And eventually He will bring you into the light of his LOVE,
And wrap his LOVING arms around you and welcome You back.
We must transition from conviction to LOVE.

For Jesus is LOVE.
Be convicted,

AND find your way back to LOVE.
That's what Jesus wants.
That's what our loving Heavenly Father wants,
As His heart cries out,

Come into to my LOVE."
"Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the conviction of Holy Spirit,
Do Your cleansing work in me,
Convict my heart when I do wrong,
Keep me from straying too far,
But then help me step back into Your LOVE.
No matter what I've have done,
Let me trust in Your forgiveness,
Let me learn of Your goodness,
Let me taste of Your LOVE.
Draw me back to You,
Like a moth to a flame,
Draw me deeper into You,
After the cleansing and healing through Your Spirit,
May I OVERFLOW with Your LOVE,
So I can be a light for others to come to KNOW You.
Bring me into your LOVE again and again,
I love You,
I praise You
I bless You,
In Jesus name, Amen."
