Be with Me...
Do you know what is most important to God?
Do you know what His heart aches for every night and morning?
Do you know why He sent His only son to die for You?
RELATIONSHIP.
A PERSONAL relationship with YOU.
Perfect, blissful, eternal RELATIONSHIP what was destroyed by sin,
That's what Jesus came to RESTORE,
It's all about RELATIONSHIP.
BEING in RELATIONSHIP means...
BEING present,
BEING connected,
BEING united,
BEING in harmony,
BEING in LOVE.
"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. ABIDE in my love."
God is LOVE,
God wants us to ABIDE in Him,
To BE with Him.
What does that look like in real life?
When you wake up in the morning,
Your feet hit the floor,
Thoughts of all you need to do that day,
Roll in one after another,
For a moment you think, "Does it always have to be this way...?",
That's God tickling your brain saying,
"BE with Me,
Start your day with Me,
It doesn't have to be this way,
I can show you something new,
BE with Me."
So then...
Take a pause,
Turn your gaze upon Jesus,
Think of His goodness, faithfulness and love,
And BE with Him,
Even for a moment,
He will LOVE it.
"ABIDE in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it ABIDES in the vine, neither can you, unless you ABIDE in me."
When you're rushing and hustling,
Going from one appointment to the next,
And you think, "This is such a crazy schedule...",
God is nudging you saying,
"BE with Me...
The crazy schedule is drowning Me out.
It doesn't have to be this way,
I can show you something new,
BE with Me."
So then...
Take a pause,
Turn your gaze upon Jesus,
Think of His goodness, faithfulness and love,
And BE with Him,
Even for a moment,
He will LOVE it.
"Whoever ABIDES in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."
When it's getting late at night,
You've had a long day,
The phone keeps beeping, pinging, ringing,
And you think, "Stick a fork in me, I'm done",
God is tugging at your heart saying,
"Be with Me...
It doesn't have to be this way,
REST in Me, Trust in Me,
I'll show You how,
BE with Me."
So then...
Take a pause,
Turn your gaze upon Jesus,
Think of His goodness, faithfulness and love,
And BE with Him,
Even for a moment,
He will LOVE it.
"we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit."
"Dear Heavenly Father,
Show me how to BE with You,
In the morning,
In the afternoon,
In the evening,
To keep ABIDING and BEING with You,
Throughout the day,
To REST in You,
To DELIGHT in You,
So You can DELIGHT in Me.
In Jesus name, Amen."
